DNS Fall Food Drive

November 3rd, 2025 by Micheal Shaw

This November, We’re Taking Giving to a New Level

Help Restock the Durham Nativity School Food Pantry

Due to recent changes in SNAP (food stamp) benefits, many families in our community are finding it harder to make ends meet. Our Durham Nativity School Food Pantry has seen a growing number of requests for emergency food assistance, and our shelves are running low.

This November, we’re taking giving to a new level — and we’re inviting our entire DNS community to join in.

We’ll be collecting food donations throughout the week, including:

  • Mornings at drop-off (8:00 A) or AFternoon at Pickup (2:30 P)

  • At our Boots & Beats Line Dance Fundraiser on Friday, November 14 6-8P

Your donations help us provide immediate relief to families in need and ensure our pantry remains a dependable resource throughout the holiday season.

Most Needed Items:

  • Canned meats (tuna, chicken, beef stew)

  • Raw meats (frozen or packaged)

  • Peanut butter & jelly

  • Pasta & pasta sauce

  • Canned fruits & vegetables

  • Rice, beans, and boxed meals

  • Cereal & oatmeal

  • Shelf-stable milk

📍 Drop-Off Locations: Collection bins will be available in both school lobbies and at each event.

🕒 Please donate unopened, non-expired items.

Together, we can make this a season of generosity and care — ensuring that every DNS family and neighbor has enough on their table.
