Mission Statement

The Mission of the Durham Nativity School is to provide a tuition-free, enriched learning environment and an eleven-year support system for middle school boys who have the ability and commitment to achieve, but not the resources for a quality, independent school education. We promote a rigorous academic program and nurture the whole child to reach his potential through knowledge, moral values, learning skills, discipline, and character development. We instill service for others as we build tomorrow’s role models and community leaders.

Admissions Philosophy

Durham Nativity School seeks to admit young men and families who value education and are committed to meeting the expectations of our twelve-year program. Our graduates are afforded the opportunity to attend independent, college preparatory high schools and earn a college degree. Students who are successful at DNS enjoy learning, are motivated to succeed in a focused academic environment; and possess honesty, integrity, and self-discipline. The admissions process is designed to identify students and families who will benefit from our specialized instruction and programs.
