Our faculty and staff are committed to a providing a life-changing educational and social experience over the next twelve years of your son’s life. Our focus is on developing a standard of excellence for the mind, body, and spirit over the next three years. We also are committed to assisting with the high school admissions process while in his eighth grade year at Durham Nativity. Additionally, we offer social support throughout his high school years and guidance throughout his college experience. As we strive to give our best each day toward building confident DNS men, we are asking for your support. Please remember that Durham Nativity School is your school and your son’s success depends on how well we work together to ensure excellence in every aspect of the DNS educational program.
This year, parents will have another way to log community service hours. Below you will find two links to a Google Form, one is in English, the other is in Spanish. You can either complete this form online or fill out the sheet in the front office, you do not have to complete both. The link to this online form will also be posted in the front office. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Parent Participation Statement
Parental involvement is essential to the success of each young man who attends Durham Nativity School. All parents/guardians are expected to sign and comply with the Parental Agreement which outlines program expectations. By signing, parents acknowledge the exceptional education and enriching experience that their son is afforded and agree to uphold the tenets of the Parental Agreement.
Parents must agree to be actively involved in all aspects of the school program, fulfilling the requirement for volunteerism which includes at least 6 hours each semester or 12 hours per school year. Also, parents/guardians must attend all Teacher/Parent/Student Conferences and Parent Empowerment Program (PEP) meetings.
The school’s cost for each student at Durham Nativity School is approximately $22,000.00 per year and is completely covered by private donations. Durham Nativity School families are only required to pay a monthly activity fee of $25.00. The Parental Agreement provides further details regarding this contractual agreement as well as additional program expectations.

Middle School Uniform Policy
The Durham Nativity School uniform helps promote a safe, positive, and professional environment for all students and teachers. It is important for Durham Nativity School men to be clean, well groomed, and neat in appearance each day.
The Durham Nativity School uniform consists of the following:
- Khaki-colored long pants
- French blue dress shirt (long or short sleeve)
- Durham Nativity School striped necktie
- Black dress socks
- Black, polished dress shoes, either slip-ons or tie-up (boots are not acceptable)
- Black belt
- Athletic shoes and socks, sweatpants, or shorts and a t-shirt should be brought to school for PE and team sports.
- Jewelry is not to be worn, except for a modest, inexpensive watch.
- Students should have neat, trimmed hair; be clean-shaven
- Hats are not to be worn inside of the school.
- Top shirt buttons are to be fastened with the necktie formally worn at all times.
- All shirts must be clean, pressed, and tucked into pants at all times
- Belts must be fastened and hold pants up at the waist.

5th Grade Uniform Policy

- Pants: Navy blue khakis
- Black dress socks
